The roots of Vinoteque
From the spark to the first glass
Vinoteque was born out of a love for wine, good things, conviviality, and a deep connection to the local area. Today, there are two Vinoteque stores in Rivalta di Torino and Orbassano, united by the same philosophy: to offer a simple, authentic, and refined experience.
Our history
It was 2014.
Lucrezia’s parents’ small shop in the PIRAMID Shopping Center in Rivalta di Torino had just become vacant.
As often happens in these situations, new ideas began to emerge around that empty space. An acquaintance said, “You know, a wine bar would be perfect here. This area really needs one!”
That sentence was the spark. Lucrezia’s parents made her an offer: “You’ve just finished high school, would you like to give it a try?”
Lucrezia was intrigued, and with the right amount of enthusiasm and a touch of madness, she decided to take the plunge. She began to study: first wine tasting courses, then grappa courses.
And so, thanks to the support of her family, VINOTEQUE RIVALTA was born on October 25, 2014.
In the beginning, it was all very simple: Piedmontese bottles, bulk wine, a few typical products, and a small bar. Over time, however, the Vinoteque counter became a meeting place and gathering spot for Rivalta and the surrounding area: a place to stop for a good glass of wine, have a chat, and relax.
In the early years, we began participating in trade fairs and events to raise awareness of our brand and bring our selection beyond the walls of our premises. Among the most important events we have participated in are “Natale Reale” at the Palazzina di caccia di Stupinigi and “Messer Tulipano” at the Castello di Pralormo, as well as local events such as the Fiera del Sedano Rosso in Orbassano and the Fiera del Tomino in Rivalta di Torino.
In 2019, we received an important recognition: Gambero Rosso included us in its wine guide. It was an achievement that came as a great surprise and satisfaction, so much so that the municipality of Rivalta celebrated the event with a dedicated evening.
At the time, we worked with just a few wineries, two of which—Casavecchia and Frea—are owned by relatives of ours and are still part of our selection today. We have built long-lasting relationships with the other wineries: these are not just professional collaborations, but often friendships that continue over time.
In 2022, we decided to expand further without compromising the identity of our wine shop. This led to the creation of Vinoteque Store in Orbassano, a few kilometers from the historic location. It was designed to maintain the same aesthetic style—red walls and distinctive tile flooring—but with a few differences: instead of a patchwork of 12 different patterns, the floor here features a single design, with large flowers creating visual continuity.
Vinoteque Store was created with a specific purpose: to guarantee our presence even when Vinoteque Rivalta is closed. The two stores alternate, always maintaining the same selection of products and the same style. This allows us to offer continuity even during staff holidays and to never leave customers without a point of reference.
The inauguration of Orbassano was a special event: a whole day of tastings, complimentary wine glasses, and lots of participation. Today, as in Rivalta, we also offer our selection of wines, spirits, liqueurs, beers, bulk wines, bag-in-box wines, typical sweet and savory products, gifts, and a small bar in Orbassano.
Our wine glasses accompanied by platters of cold cuts and cheeses, bruschetta, and piadina have become a regular fixture for many Orbassanesi. Vinoteque has become a landmark in Rivolta. A lounge where you can take time for yourself, hang out with friends, laugh and joke, and bring Piedmont to Italy and the world.
At Vinoteque, you will find the right advice and the perfect gift. We will continue to strive to guarantee all our services and bring a smile to your face. Thank you for continuing to choose us. We are proud of what we have built together with you.
The journey of Vinoteque
From Lucrezia’s parents’ small shop to two established locations, Vinoteque has grown by cultivating passion, quality, and authenticity. Discover the main milestones in our history, including insights, awards, and moments of sharing that have brought us to where we are today.

The spark
Vinoteque was born from Lucrezia Barberi’s intuition and her family’s trust. From a small shop in Rivalta, selling bulk wine and a few bottles, the wine shop quickly became a meeting place where people could share a glass of wine, friendship, and moments of conviviality.

A new energy
Jessica joins the team, bringing enthusiasm and skills that expand the wine shop’s offerings. The team grows, as do the culinary offerings and participation in local fairs and events.

Recognition
Gambero Rosso includes Vinoteque among the leading wine bars in the area, an important achievement that confirms the quality of the selection and the hospitality that distinguish the venue.

Growing without changing
Vinoteque Store opens in Orbassano, with the same philosophy, product selection, and attention to detail as the historic location. The inauguration is a special event, with tastings and complimentary glasses of wine for customers.

The present of Vinoteque
Vinoteque has two locations united by the same passion: bulk and bottled wines, typical Piedmontese products, handmade gift boxes, and a restaurant where you can enjoy authentic experiences, glass after glass.
About us
At the helm is Lucrezia Barberi, born in 1994 and raised in Orbassano, where she still lives today. She attended school here, was part of the scout group, and is now building a family with her husband Lorenzo.
After graduating from high school in Turin with a focus on biology, in 2014 she turned her passion into a concrete project by founding Vinoteque Rivalta.
In 2015, Jessica, born in 1993 and originally from Rivalta di Torino, joined the team. Their families have known each other for generations, their grandmothers were friends, and after many years spent side by side, they too have formed a strong bond.
With Jessica’s arrival, Vinoteque has grown and expanded its culinary offerings.
In 2022, the second store, Vinoteque Store in Orbassano, was opened, managed by Jessica with the same attention to detail and the same hospitality that Lucrezia reserves for customers in the first store.
Meanwhile, the Rivalta headquarters continues to evolve, expanding the team with the arrival of Barbara.

The team would not be complete without Lorenzo, Lucrezia’s husband, who is always ready to lend a hand, and without the invaluable support of Lucrezia’s parents, Antonella and Francesco, who have made every step of this journey possible. And then there is Lara, our mascot.
